Baptist Campus Ministry (BCM)

Every fall thousands of students leave their homes and head to Kentucky college campuses for what will perhaps be the greatest adventure of their lives. As they seek to learn more about careers, the world and themselves, they also have an excellent opportunity to learn about the God who made them, loves them and has a plan for their lives. Baptist Campus Ministry provides students with a place to do just that.

The Baptist Campus Ministry is a student-led, Christ-centered and church-related campus organization. A total of 34 BCMs are located on Kentucky college campuses. These BCMs work every semester to:

  • evangelize and disciple students
  • expose student to a deeper knowledge of the Bible
  • give students opportunities for Christian service
  • encourage mission involvement

BCMs are shepherded by caring, professional campus ministers called by God especially to serve His Kingdom on campus. All BCMs are directed locally by student-led leadership boards.

FREE LUNCH MINISTRY
One of the staples of our ministry is the FREE LUNCHES hosted by area churches on select Mondays and Thursdays throughout the semester!  This is a great way for churches to actively serve on one of the largest mission fields in our area!  Check our calendar to see when lunches are being served and when lunches are needed.  Click here to download a letter from the campus minister about how to take advantage of this ministry opportunity.  If you know any college students, this is a great way for them to get involved in our ministry.  Students can Join the BCM and receive free e-mail alerts about these lunches and other upcoming events.  Students can also watch our sign in front of the BCM Student Center for FREE LUNCH alerts!

If you have questions about how to get involved, just give us a call at (606) 679-6406 or drop us a line at somersetbcm@windstream.net.
